For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. – Romans 1:21 (NIV)

It is hard to be reasonable to a mind whose thinking is futile. We have many ways that help explain why people believe, but the Bible tells us that more logic is not the answer, but hearts that are challenged to glorify God and give thanks to Him. Our minds are opened when we humble ourselves. As important as logic is, it is not enough for the cynic. The breakthrough comes from the heart to the head, not the other way around.
