Rev. Michael Beckwith of Agape International Spiritual Center once said, "When you pray, Give us this day our daily bread . . . the day no longer belongs to you. Your day belongs to God!" Your day and every action in that day belongs to the good of God, through the love that God has for you. Today, there is absolutely nothing for you to worry about. You don't have to concern yourself with what has to be or what may not get done. This is God's day! And on God's day, everything takes shape and form in and through divine order. You will be guided and led, supported and protected. When God is in charge of the day, you need not concern yourself with anything that anyone is doing or not doing. God knows! God sees! After all, God is God! What do your opinions mean when they are measured against who God is and what God can do! When you know that God is in charge, the polite thing to do is to mind your own business! Don't go sticking your nose into things that God is doing on this day. This is God's day! Listen to your own heart, in case God has something special to say to you. When our day belongs to God, you have only one thing to do that is to know. You must know that you can depend on God. You must know that whatever comes your way is coming through God first and that by the time it gets to you, you will know exactly what to do or say. So relax! This is God's day! You gave this day your life to God. Now don't take it back! Until today, you may have been reluctant to turn your life over to God. You may have been trying to do what only God can do. Just for today, open your heart to the all-knowing power of God. If things don't go the way you think they should, there is always tomorrow! Today I am devoted to allowing the presence of God to control every aspect of my life! From Until Today! by Iyanla Vanzant |
