Jesus was priming his disciples for a relationship that they had no reference for. When the Holy Spirit brings truth to our hearts, it is rarely comfortable. And since the Holy Spirit is a person and not a genie, He is not at our command. So when you pray, learn to listen more than you speak, for through the Holy Spirit, God has given us all that we need to hear heaven and God’s plan for our lives.
