THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A FIGHT TO THE END. SO INSTEAD OF JUST BEING CONTENT WITH THE STATUS QUO, STEP OUT AND LIVE BY FAITH IN EVERYTHING YOU DO!

Fighting the good fight to the end
August 25, 2011
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12
Every now and then I’m asked, “Pastor, what is your greatest concern about the church in America today?” And you know what my greatest concern about the American church is? It is that somehow we would think that we’ve arrived, that we’ve finished everything that God wants us to do, that we would get in a zone of neutrality rather than pressing the battle to the limit!
What a tragedy it is! How heartbreaking it is to see some Christians who are content with a casual, just-get-by, conventional kind of Christianity rather than seeking new challenges that the Lord has for them.
If only the church today would heed the words of the apostle Paul, who saw the Christian life as a fight to the end. And on that day, we’d be able to cross the finish line of life knowing that we lived by faith in God and by the power of the Spirit!
God’s plan is for you to sail wide open by the winds of the Spirit by faith. Don’t ever accept less than the best in your life! Don’t be content with the status quo. Step out and live by faith and you’ll see God do things you never would have imagined!
